“We chose to work with Aperyer Catering for so many reasons! Compared to other catering companies we’d looked into, we felt they offered better value and more flexibility in their menu options.
Gemma and Matt had some great ideas but basically said we could have whatever we wanted and they’d be able to deliver this (which they did!). We liked the look of the sharing platters on their website and basically tailored these for what we wanted.
We also just really liked them as people! We felt relaxed and unpressured to make decisions, and just had a laugh with them whenever we met!
This was reflected on the day itself, as they were stress-free, chilled, but professional. All our guests loved the food and the people with dietary requirements commented how well they had been informed about the food and catered for by Gemma (and Matt cooking away in the background!).
All the food looked and, more importantly, tasted AMAZING on the day!
We had Yorkshire style tapas for canapés to fit in with our Yorkshire wedding (the mini fish and chips were my personal fave!) and Mediterranean tapas (a favourite cuisine of ours) for our wedding breakfast (a selection of different Mediterranean dishes … so hard to pick a fave … the focaccia was to die for though, and the chicken and chorizo stew was out of this world!).
We also had a cheeky granita shot as a palate cleanser after the meal and before the dessert (limoncello and sangria to continue with the Mediterranean theme), which were delicious and an absolute god send given it was the hottest day of the year!
Our evening food was a selection of pizzas, which again were delicious! Gemma even saved some for us to have as a midnight snack when we got into our wedding tipi for the night!
All in all we can’t fault these pair – amazing food, amazing service, amazing people! Would definitely recommend Aperyer to anyone and we will certainly be using them for any future catering needs we may have! Thank you so much!

Laura and Charlotte’s gorgeous wedding took place at one of our favourite outdoor venues, the fabulous This Green Moon near Leeds, on what turned out to be one of the hottest days of the year!
Following a beautiful ceremony nestled within the ancient woodlands, guests celebrated with fizz and some ‘Best of British’ canapes under the trees.
The couple chose a tapas inspired feast as their main meal – opting for lots of little dishes rather than a single focal point dish. Guests passed and shared a selection of Laura and Charlotte’s favourite antipasti and tapas
