A hot summer’s day in Gloucestershire, a wedding ceremony round the swimming pool before an afternoon reception with BBQ in glorious grounds – this laid back couple’s theme screamed garden party and we worked with them to create a menu that reflected that.
Canapes & cocktails
After the gorgeous outdoor ceremony, guests enjoyed mojito cocktails and sharing jugs of pimms along with canapes inspired by the couples’ favourite flavours:
Gin-cured gravlax with Scandinavian pickles on rye toast
Jewelled ham hock bites
Grilled aubergine stuffed with feta and preserved lemon
As the summer sun shone down, Matt fired up the BBQ and guests enjoyed a table-centre sharing feast of:
Spiced lamb kebabs
Marinated chicken skewers
Halloumi and roasted Mediterranean vegetable skewers
Grilled chorizo and corn on the cob
Hummous, babaganoush, stuffed olives and tzatziki with flatbreads
Orange, feta and pomegranate mixed salad with lime and chilli

As the party continued long into the wee hours, Sarah and J opted for a street food style stall where guests could enjoy BBQ pulled pork, jacket potatoes, homemade coleslaw, West Country cheddar & pickles all served up in brown deli boxes to keep the party going!
